The sun rose again today!
The forecast never mentioned it being sunny anytime in the foreseeable future. At least it's not dark for 90 more days!
Of course, it's not really shining too brightly, at least not here on the side of the forest, but there's a little tiny clouds all of the sky that turned red. Lots of blue in between.
I woke up at 5:30. Didn't seem worth it to go back to bed. So in the great room upstairs, I laid out the warping board and tried to put the warp on. I'm using the clicker that my dad had for counting pedestrians, and counted The rows. My problem was, I kept forgetting to count the row when I run around the post.
I can't really do the math for putting a warp on on, so I just have to eyeball it. I think that works. I found the large wool cones and selected the yellow one for the warp. I counted my dents and there's enough for 120 threads.
I've been puttering, going through the cupboards in the sunroom, and sorting out nails and things. I found a lot of cup hooks, which I am going to use to attach Christmas lights to the windows from the inside. I'll use the Christmas lights that I brought home from Georgia and put on the Christmas trees in the yard. I like the way that I had them before. But I cut the lights with the lawnmower so many times, that finally this year I removed all the strands and my trees are bare. It would be pretty to make them into Christmas trees again, though.
I was going to go to yoga early, but I had so many little things to do. It didn't matter in the end, because I'm at yoga finding out that I have missed the last sessions! How is that possible!! So I waited till Sheri came out and I asked to be added to the next group if possible.
I'm glad I've been getting lots of little things done today. I'm going to try to setup the knitting machine and make blankets for the relief society service project.
I'm at the clinic so I'll let them look at my chest. I have so much phlegm in my lungs. I suppose it will resolve itself, and is only a virus, but I'd like to know if it's contagious or just my own body dealing with having had the odd wrong food.
I came home and found the clamps for the knitting machine and set it up. I spent the evening knitting with it.
