It’s our day to go to the temple, but it looks like there’s a band of snow all of southern Ontario up to eastern Ontario and beyond, 2 to 4 inches of snow and Highwinds and plunging temperatures.
It was -25 with a windchill of -36.
My back was hurting so much I had to go for a walk. I was so glad that I had a place that I could go for a walk. I try to walk on the edges of my snow blown pathway, to pack it down so that when I snowplough later, it will stay up above the rocks. I’m also walking on the driveway and driving on it without cleaning it off after the small snowstorms.
The snowstorm is supposed to have been a tropical depression, no I mean a tropical storm force winds when it hits Long Island and Connecticut. I think they were A foot of snow. We are getting the wins from that system as well as the cold.
I bundled up and warm my red coat so that I could be seen. I walked down with two poles, no one people. I found it in the back of the blue car yesterday at the dump.
So I walked down the hill, being careful not to go too fast, but I’ve discovered that my boots to stick. If there’s not much pressure on them they will slip but is long as all your weight is on them they will be good traction. I didn’t stop to go into Joe pie TB, we’re all the tracks went, but went on to see Wilson‘s new eyes. I did walk out onto iceberg pond. I always feel a little daring to go out onto the ice, but cool Corbo‘s dad Gary says that he had checked the thickness of the ice for them to play hockey on the other day. They want to catch minnows for icefishing.
The snow had not drifted into the path. I could still see her footprints from yesterday. I said hello to Wilson as I passed, and went right over the overflow is if it wasn’t there. It’s all ice and snow now on top of it. By the time I got to the other TV, I was ready to go in and get warm
I was going to go over to Scarlett’s this am, but I walked the moat and warmed up then walked home and Abe needed to go home today so Willem drove him at noon and I took down more supplies-beeswax candles- to the Alder tipi.
I warmed up in alder TP with the candles I had fraud. I was able to locate the two lamps and then use one of the holders to hold three beeswax candles. That made it easy to drive my fingers and warm them. I also surrounded my toes with a blanket and emergency blankets. I think my toes get cold when I sweat in my boots and in that freezes.
It was very cosy of the TP with my little table candles.
I came back up to the house, but very slowly. I went next to Joe pie TV at fiddlehead pawn. It was so cold, the wind was blowing so hard, I thought I should go in there and warmth again. Warming up it’s a good thing to do. I was so pleased to see the supplies I had in the bag. It was -24 with the windchill of -35. Maybe I said that already. It’s worth repeating.
Willem and I have been having a cosy time together. I have the two square chairs with their backs against the bookcase facing out towards the woodshed. It’s a brown recliner has the television on its arms! So we sat there and watch TV together. We were at superior interesting stuff.
There has been a lot going on in the news lately. There has been a cyclone in the ocean which has turned into a blizzard, sort of like a tornado blizzard, or hurricane
It has pushed a huge storm surge into Boston Harbor. There is deep water on the streets of Boston, which has no frozen in the deep freeze. This is unheard of. There are cars frozen into this. It sure reminds me of that movie, “the day after tomorrow”.
We watched a couple of YouTube videos about people who had died and returned. However fascinating. One was about a Jewish boy, 15, who came back to life. He was giving his experience to a rabbi and a whole assembly in the synagogue.
I am being watched! A beautiful dear is watching from sunrise your sideI don’t have very much food out, but he is just standing there observing. He’s kind of just inspect, maybe 20 feet, or 30.
Willem has been walking back-and-forth in the other room, and the deer was standing just watching. No he’s spending a little more time relaxing and looking around I think you may even come forward. I took my arm out of my sleep just to say noticed him. Oh he’s getting closer!
