Marshwoods path and bridge

September 7, 2018

2:13 PM

I went up and has some hard-boiled eggs with olives and pimentos and tomatoes, a few minutes ago, with Scarlet and Alida and Maya.

I came to the Marshwood corner and park the trailer. I dropped off the birchbark been at there wigwam that I have forgotten about making.

I entered in by the trailer just up above the drainage area, on the older side of the Marshwoods Hammocks. I’m been trying to cut all the branches that hang over the pathway. The center branches are enough to give lots of shade, but the branches that lean outward over the path, just create such a lot of confusion and an impossible place to walk.

These are the alders where I snowshoed through, and got tangled up and slapped in the glasses by branches repeatedly in the winter time.

It would sure be nice if this were tidied up enough that I could snow shoe or ski through it. That would be really nice.

I pulled Alders out from there and into the trailer until I had a load, which I shoved over the Steep edge of the gravel road.

The chain came off two more times, as I was doing small stuff.

I have to cut some of these branches in half, they are so long that I can barely drag them. It would all be good for making a structure. But I really don’t know what kind of structure I’d like to make. So for now they’re just going to go to get dragged to the car.

I made it to the stream! It’s 3:05 PM I’m at the Flickr bridge. It has a name! It’s there was a flicker that came and sat in the elders across the stream for me. I took a picture of him, but I don’t think he’s in it. He left when I made noise with my camera.

There is some very beautiful purple blue chickaree blooming beside me. Oh no wait, that’s not Chichory, that’s purple Astors. Autumn is purple.

It’s hard to take that photo without the stuff at the back being too bright. Is that where I should use flash?

There’s a green darner! It headed to Stream bed with a friend.

I’m so thrilled with what I’m able to accomplish in here with the chainsaw. I’ve been making a pathway near the stream from the time that I entered that area through the others. I’m really trying to make it so that the pass-through the alders can very all the time.

There are so many lovely areas, but the leaning outer ones block the pathways between them.

There’s a cherry Meadowhawk.

II’m so thrilled with what I’ve been able to accomplish in here with the chainsaw. I’ve been making a pathway near the stream from the time that I entered that area through the alders. I’m really trying to make it so that the pass-through the can vary with my interests.

After a long time,

I found the marsh woods entrance Hamic. I had returned to the car trailer and come into the alders again from the area I opened up. I went straight as much as I could, going around alder bushes and taking out the branches that lay on the ground or swooped across. And somehow, I ended up here. There is a definite line to the Cedars. When you go in past that line of Cedars, you have officially entered the marsh woods.

Feels good to line the Samick. I have inspected what is beneath me, and the Hamic is only about a foot and a half off the ground, so if it does fall break it won’t be a big file.

However, that does mean it’s harder to relax! As ice play here looking around, I have memories of this area which are very different from what this area looks like now. My memories
